Harebrained

Located in Chicago, Harebrained! is a group of designers, illustrators, printers, and most importantly friends that collaborate in creating anything they deem worthy of the world’s attention– whether it be something they dreamed up for themselves or for someone else. Each member brings a certain specialty and artistic opinion to the table, making the strongest-possible final product.

Harebrained! designs and prints all their shirts. Not a lot of small apparel companies can say that. Many send them out to printers who could really care less, and have no personal connection to the shirt they’re printing. When one of us designs a shirt, we’re the same person who prints it. In a way, you the customer, is getting a limited edition art print on a tee, or whatever we happen to print on. So with that in mind, if you want a one of a kind item that’s extremely affordable, buy our art and proudly display it on yourself.

Apparel

Harebrained! gets all their tees, sweatshirts and other clothing from American Apparel. Not only do they live up to their company name and make their products inside of the US, they have some really great cuts and styles. Say what you will about their “voyeuristic/pervy” advertising and hipster reputation, they make some nice threads.

Printing

In recent years, printing technology has been getting greener and greener. Here at Harebrained!, we’ve been staying on top of the latest and greatest eco-friendly inks and solvents. Harebrained strives to work with only water-based inks and soy and citrus based solvents. (Disclosure: Every once in a while we print a shirt with metallic ink, which is made from plastisol– sorry, these shirts are the exception… they just look so cool.)
